    One letter from British art critic and non-artist member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, Frederic George Stephens to Helen Allingham, referring to a portion of a letter which he had sent to the editor of "The Athenaeum." Stephens mentions the letter was not for publication. Stephens also mentions some of the letter Helen had sent to Stephens was lost by the printer. Stephens asks Helen to send him the paragraph again, and "The Athenaeum" will print it next week. There is a note on the top of the first page, which reads, "'Spielmann' is right.

    Description
    One letter from British novelist Mary Augusta Ward to Helen Allingham, regarding the possibility of Helen leasing her home in Witley, which she heard from Lady Knutsford. Ward inquires about the size of the house, the rent, and other pertinent information. Ward hopes Lady Knutsford was not misinformed, and is sorry to hear of Helen leaving the area. Ward apologizes for not attempting to visit Helen more and hopes she will be at Borough in two weeks for a visit.

    One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, writing to inform her he has been very busy since his last letter. Henry mentions he attended the weekly dance in Glenwood with 3 other couples. Henry mentions attending the fair, which he explained was much like an English Country Fair. Henry also mentions business with the Morse Co. continues to go well.

    One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, informing her he will write to her en route of his trip. Henry mentions having letters from Mr. Morse to visit different manufacturing locations during his trip. Henry writes about a sleigh party he had gone to the previous Saturday. Henry writes he is anxious to see everyone again soon.
