    SAINT-GALL. Bibliothèque du Chapitre, n° 870, page 78-79 (Scoliaste de Juvénal, III, 190-214, pag. 208, 20-210,9 de l'édition d'Otto Jahn). Écriture du IXe siècle. Volume de 163 feuillets (mes. 0m,18 sur0m,135), coté autrefois D 476, contenant uniquement le vieux scoliaste de Juvénal, précédé d'une compilation, sans ordre, de 460 vers, tirés de Virgile, Horace, Juvénal, Serenus Sammonicus, etc., et d'une liste de mots formant une sorte de recueil prosodique. Ces scolies sont à peu près les mêmes que celles des marges du manuscrit de Montpellier. Elles ont servi à Cramer (In D. Junii Juvenalis satiras commentarii vetusti, Hamburgi, 1823. Cf. p. 9-17), puis à Orelli (Scholiasta Juvenalis suppletus et emendatus e cod. Sangallensi, Turici, 1833, 4°) et surtout à O. Jahn pour son édition des scolies. Une description détaillée en a-été donnée par Chr. Stephan, De Pithoeanis in Juv. scholiis, Bonn, 1882, p. 17-26.

    One letter from Irish author Bram Stoker to Helen Allingham, on behalf of Mr. Henry Irving, asking if Helen would like a seat to the first night of the play "Becket," on the 6th of February at the Lyceum Theatre. Stoker informs Helen, Irving keeps a seat incase. On the back of the letter there is a note written by Helen Allingham, writing she attended the play that night and was brought onto stage to shake Irving's hand, who was playing Becket, and Terry playing Rosamond, who kissed Helen.

    One letter from Edward Henry Stanley, Earl of Derby to J.B. Chandler and others, acknowledging the memorial sent by Chandler on December 3. Derby writes that he does not intend to take any action that would diminish the "picturesque character," of the land between Witley and Haslemere. The letter is signed "Derby," and is addressed to Rev. J.B. Chandler and others.

    One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, informing Helen he had arrived in Lammermoor from Oakley. Henry describes his movements from Oakley to Lammermoor, mentioning several pumps which he stopped at along the way. Henry mentions that Mr. Christison has included, alongside the letter, a note for Helen. Henry sends his love to Gerald and Evey, and hopes Evey is doing better now.

    One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, written while on board a ship. Henry mentions not enjoying his supper much aboard the ship. He also writes about making acquaintances with the younger folk on board, and explains American girls become familiar with you very quickly. He also mentions there is much singing on board, and includes music for a song he learned. Henry also updates his mother on finding work.

    One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, written to her from the study of Mr. Heizer, above the Unitarian Church in Ithaca. Henry mentions there is not much news as of now, and writes the workshop is still flourishing. In a postscript, Henry mentions Helen spreading the news of him being home for a month's time at Christmas, and asks her to ask about social invitations.

Contient la première décade très mutilée. Il ne reste que les cahiers A (contenant la préface et I, jusqu'au chap. XXVIII, § 2 : « Precones ab extremo orsi ») et I, K, L, M, N, reprenant aux mots « inditiaeque inde non pax facta » (IV, c. xxx, § 14) jusqu'à « Servius Sulpicius Servius » (VI, c. XXVI, § 3).
